Boston Accommodations

From Our Guests . . .

My daughter and I had a very nice time while staying at the Beacon Inn. Everyone was very nice and helpful to us, there was enough food in the continental breakfast to get us started in the mornings, there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the Inn, plus there was easy transportation into Boston just outside the door. I liked having a microwave and mini-fridge available on our floor even if it had to be shared. At least you could keep some cold drinks or heat up take out food. For the price, the Beacon Inn was an excellent choice and I would stay there again.

This place rocks! I had to plan a quick trip to Boston to visit a sick family member at the Longwood Hospital area. Every hotel I called in the area had such high prices because it was so last minute. I found this hotel on Orbitz for such a reasonable price. Plus I could not have been in a better area. I was within walking distance of everything I needed. The entire staff was very sympathetic to my situation. My family member turned out to be ok and I even got to do a little bit of shopping on Newbury Street because it was so close by.

Located very near Boston proper right on the green line of the "T" - Boston's subway (which is excellent) eliminates the need for car rental. While the breakfast is minimal (instant oatmeal, cereal, rubbery bagels, coffee, tea, oj), it offers free high speed Internet access, local calls, A/C (window unit), cable TV in a historic brownstone converted to B&B. Some of the rooms are tiny (and not all include in room baths), I stayed in #5 - overlooking the street (light sleepers may not want this one) and it was spacious - king sized bed, dorm fridge, and its own bath (with small stall shower - a big person may difficulty) with nice hard wood floors. The neighborhood offers walking distance restaurants, grocery, coffee, movie theater, book store.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Beacon Inn. Rooms were quaint and cozy. As soon as we walked into the place, you could tell there was a warm and friendly atmosphere in the air. As we were leaving and checking out, we met Carmen, the Innkeeper. He couldn't have been more kinder and pleasant. We would definitely stay again and certainly recommend the Inn over and over.

I discovered the Beacon Inn by finding and selecting a brochure from the Prudential Center. I was amazed at the value and the attentiveness of the staff. My room was spotless and the ambiance was spectacular. I will tell all my friends about the Beacon Inn.

While Traveling to Boston I chose the Beacon Inn as a referral from another website. Right away i knew it was going to be an outstanding stay. When I arrived everything lived up to my expectations. From the outside it is a beautiful brownstone building that basically doesn't look like much, but once I set foot inside a sudden feeling of "home" came over me, which is exactly what I wanted. I don't like ot stay at chain hotels where almost everytime there is a problem with something whether it's the room not being clean or guest services. When staying at the Beacon Inn the hosts were absolutely outstanding as well as the housekeeping staff. I would recommend this inn to anybody who wants to enjoy a quiet peaceful stay while at the same time having the freedom to take the subway [right outside the door] to downtown Boston.
