flag day paradeToday we celebrate Flag Day. Though not officially recognized as a national holiday, Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the United States Flag by the Second Continental Congress¬†in 1777. One of the oldest Flag Day celebrations in the nation is held annually in Quincy, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. And there are few better places to salute Old Glory than right here in Massachusetts, where you can still see the remnants of America’s colonial history and the American Revolution. If you’re planning a Massachusetts vacation this summer, consider staying in one of our 19th century Boston brownstones at the Beacon Inn!¬†
